Dr. DeBaecke is WONDERFUL!!!! RESPONSE TO LAURA J'S POST 10/9/2011

I have been bringing my fur-kids to Country Animal Clinic for 23 years, since I was 19 years old.I loved and trusted Dr Farr (and still do) with all of my heart. She was an angel for all pets and their parents. It was very difficult for me to "step out of my comfort zone" with Dr. Phil. I don't like change, and was SO incredibly upset that Dr. Farr retired. It took me a good YEAR to trust Dr. Phil - and I should have KNOWN all along - that Dr. Farr would NEVER have sold her "heart and soul" vet clinic to a person who didn't have the SAME ethics as she did. After a year of confusion, fear, and heartache of missing Dr. Farr - I realized this. My one little girl, Jaeda Hope, who is terrified of everyone had to visit Dr. Phil - and he won her over EASILY! What he had to do with her was simple, but very painful. She had cracked her dew claw at the root and wouldn't even let ME touch it. I thought for sure she would freak out from fear - but she adored and trusted him!He is so much like Dr. Farr - laid back, not an alarmist, but very intelligent, sincere, truthful, "matter of fact" - yet gentle about it. I am so grateful and relieved now that I gave this poor guy a well-deserved chance. He was great all along - it was my fear of change that gave me the trouble! One more thing.....Dr. Phil's DAD was a vet, Dr. Phil obviously is a vet - and his little girl wants to be a vet too! It's in his blood. He is a kind, intelligent, EXPERIENCED, and gentle hearted man - and I think that maybe you were upset that Dr. Farr was gone - (as I was too in the beginning) and subconsciously you didn't give him a chance. We as humans are creatures of habit - and naturally fear change, so I can understand your struggle. I think that you were upset and used POOR judgement when reviewing him. I think it's unfair that your title is "Run Away While Your Pet is Still Alive"....Please remember that this is this gentleman's livelihood, and he has a family to support --- and the fact that he really is a good, intelligent guy!Are you even sure that this vet that you saw was the owner of the practice - Dr. Phillip De Baecke? He does have other vets that are there from time to time. Also, did you speak to him about how you felt? If you didn't have the courage and respect to speak with him about it - and are HIDING behind a nasty review, then shame on you!I am a dog groomer/dog sitter - and I speak to a lot of my customers that have been overcharged, have been treated like garbage, or given the wrong diagnosis - EVERY one of them (at least 40) that I sent to Country Animal Clinic has been so grateful and thankful for Dr. Phil---That it is NO LONGER their WALLET that is being treated, but their PET....that he is a compassionate, loving, HONEST, and gentle person. They are so happy to have found him in a world where the almighty dollar dictates almost every move anyone makes. Well, like the saying goes..."There are no bad dogs, Just bad owners"...I'll sign my name to this comment since I have nothing to hide! He doesn't listen, run away, while you're pet is still alive! 9/16/2010

When owned by Dr Farr, it was a great hospital, once she sold it, everything changed. Personally I don't feel owner is an experienced vet. Not only did he treat me like a simpleton, he didn't listen & told me my dog was just getting old. (@ 8!) He wouldn't even do blood and urine tests which I asked for, but again think he was too busy thinking of lunch which had been delivered while he was suppose to be checking my boy. I went to East Brunswick for a 2nd opinion, turns out my dog has Diabetes! The amazing vet at EB said it was obvious on the blood work. Amazing if work had been on his mind I probably never would've left Country Clinic. Glad I did it's nice to now that Dr Farr isn't one of a kind but that there are alot of good caring vets!. more

Great place for pets 10/13/2008

We've been taking my two cats here for almost 14 years and they've helped them with every situation - from check ups to emergency visits. They show a real compassion for animals and are very eager to help them get better. They treat a variety of pets and also help with adoptions of animals rejected by shelters. It's a great place to take your animals with ailments, just be sure to call ahead because spots fill up very quickly for the day. more

Compassionate Vet - Compassionate prices for petowner. 7/25/2006

Dr. Farr has been my veterinarian since 1994. She also has Dr. Toll and Dr. Cummings working with her for years.\rI am very picky when it comes to my furkids. I don't have children, so they're ""it"" for me! I buy them the best holistic food, I make sure that they have everything that they want and need. They are both rescued, so my deal is that I want them to have the most perfect life now, because they didn't before they were adopted.\rCountry Animal Clinic, is so incredible, that I don't care which veterinarian takes care of my girls, because I KNOW that all three are the best. They care about what is best for your pet. They're prices are better than anyone else around. They are loving, patient, and compassionate. They are thorough, and they know what they are doing. Their PRIMARY concern is NOT your MONEY!\rWhen my dog was 15 years old, she was sick and declining, and I took her to Dr. Farr's office.\rDr. Toll knows I'm not rich, but she knows that I love my dog.\rShe was very concerned with my dog's declining situation, and said we would do ONE step at a time, so that I wouldn't be spending a million dollars, but that they could find out the most important things first, and then proceed from there. My poor Savanna ended up having to be put to sleep the next day by Dr. Farr. My vets were not only supportive of my dog, but they were supportive of me because I was putting my best friend to sleep. They took their time with us. Then they lovingly helped me wrap her in sheets and blankets that they gave me, and we carried her to the car to take home.\rThey never sent me a bill for this. They never even mentioned it again.\r\rWhen I go there with 2 of my girls at the same time, they only charge for 1 visit.\r\rThere are no veterinarians anywhere like mine! \r\rThank you Dr. Farr, Dr. Toll, Dr. Cummings and the ENTIRE STAFF of Country Animal Clinic.\rYou are the BEST and no one compares to you!Pros: They are the BEST. They are the most loving and compassionate vets I have ever encountered.Cons: LoL! Cons???? There are NONE!!! more
