I have been keeping recipes secret for 2 years

The truth is that by the time I finished my first cookbook Dinner, I never had any doubt that I would make another one. I didn't know when, but from the moment Dinner It hit shelves almost 2 years ago and I've been secretly saving recipes for my next cookbook.

That big sesame ginger noodle soup I made on a rushed Tuesday night that was so good! A Double Crispy Spicy Honey Salmon that took less than 20 minutes to prepare and that I couldn't stop eating. A creamy mushroom soup with wild rice and Korean BBQ chicken marinade that made my friends swoon and the Thai wings that my friend was so obsessed with that he hid the leftovers under a pile of lettuce in the refrigerator so his children will not find them.

I fought my instinct to post these recipes on my website and instead saved them for my second cookbook. TONIGHT. And I am I'm so excited to tell you about this!!

About TONIGHT and why it's different

It is quite different from Dinner which has longer and more complicated classic meals. TONIGHT It's more focused on the dinners you can prepare tonight when you don't have time (but of course we still want something delicious to eat!), for all budgets and all levels of cooking, both for large families and single-person households.

Of course, there's a one-pot chapter (some of my greatest hits are in there), a candy chapter, and my favorite chapter called My easiest favorites where I came up with a faster way to prepare favorite comfort foods. Introducing – Dozer!

And of course, what cookbook written by me would be complete without excessively featuring Australia's favorite taste tester, Dozer!

He has been with me every step of the way as I created, tested, photographed, and wrote the recipes, encouraging me as I groaned at the thought of spending another entire weekend reading proofs and retesting recipes. (I can't lie: I hate revision, but it takes the longest!)

Although he is now on negative sick leave due to all the time he took for his surgery, I am very pleased to say that he has returned full-time to his role as RecipeTin's Head of Taste Testing with the dedication and enthusiasm he has always had. demonstrated. .

He's been awarded Employee of the Month for 10 months in a row (that's since he started the cookbook) and was very excited when I informed him today that he was being given a raise effective immediately – a 2-to-5 raise. 3 balls of peanut butter. every day!
