He was also a former student at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, and a resident and musician in the Nashville, TN area. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. She was united in marriage to Claude Belisle on March 17, 1945 and later moved to Pueblo, CO in 1962. She passed away on June 27, 2007 in Pueblo, CO. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Claude Belisle of Pueblo, CO; sons, Harold (Joyce) Belisle of Beaverton, OR and Michael (Lyn) Belisle of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Teena (Allan) Pierce of Sterling, CO; brother, F. A graduate of Spartan College of Aeronautical Engineering in Tulsa, OK with honors. A humble country boy at heart, he went on to accomplish a stellar career. He was a aeronautical engineer at McDonnell Douglass in St. Louis from 1956 to 1974. After retirement, he was hired as a contractconsultant strength engineer on the Space Shuttle at NASA.

His last project was at the age of 80 on the Stealth Bomber. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing at Jones' Creek, hunting, gardening and nature. We his family will remember him as a loyal and faithful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Keele Overton; his children, Nathan Overton of Dickson, Trudy Overton of Charlotte, Faye Clark and husband Frank of DeLand, FL, Sandy Springer and husband Fred of Franklin, Angela Elhammer and husband Ake of Kalamazoo, MI; five grandchildren, Mary Sweeney and husband Darrel of Ashland City, Nathan and Locke Springer, Erik and Ylva Elhammer; two great grandchildren, Jack and Patrick Sweeney; many nieces and nephews. June 26, 2007. Reflections of Life. Wesley was born to Lorenzy and Gloria Williams Snell, on October 8, 1964 in Nashville, TN. He was educated and graduated from Father Ryan High School where he played football and was known to be friendly to all with whom he came in contact. He attended the University of Tennessee at Martin.

He professed Christ as his Lord at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church at age 21 under the pastorate of Reverend Elijah McGhee. He later joined Locust Ridge Primitive Baptist Church and attended there for a time until he felt moved to come back home to Gordon Memorial to be with his dad and family. He worked along side his dad, Bro. Lorenzy Snell, with the Love in Action Ministry, meeting regulary on Saturdays at the church to feed and provide clothing to the homeless. Wesley enjoyed and cherished family and friends.

He was intent upon raising well his only begotten son, Wesley Snell, Jr. with the love of a father. He was devoted to Little Wesley's progress and lifestyle as an upstanding young man. His devotion to his parents was evidenced by his constant time and attention rendered to them daily. He was warm hearted and always had an encouraging and positive word for everyone who came across his path.

He loved talking to people. Everybody who knew Wesley has a "Wesley Story" to tell. He had a lasting impact on people! For over 20 years, Wesley worked at the Tennessean as a supervisor. He considered his employees and colleagues as his extended family. He enjoyed his job and would often work holidays to allow his staff to spend time with their families.

Even when off work, he would always call in to check to make sure that all was well in his department. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving son, Wesley James Snell, parents, Lorenzy and Gloria Williams Snell; sister, Angela (Roderick) Glatt; niece, Jaimie Glatt; nephew, Roderick J. Glatt II; grandmother, Nannie Collier Snell; great aunts, Christine Dalton, Roberta Ligon, Springfield, TN; aunts, Barbara (Joe) Holder, Delores Richardson, Sallie Williams, Ridgetop, TN, and Josephine Williams; uncles, Shearon (Denise) Williams and Roger (Gloria) Williams; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends; the mother of his son, Monica Jones and devoted friend, Jimmy Williams.
